WALT use precise nouns to add detail for our reader.

This week in writing we have been using precise nouns to make our writing more specific for the reader.

We took a paragraph and changed the nouns from general nouns to precise nouns.

Here is an example.

In the weekend I had to do lots of shopping with my Mum. We went to the shop new word  to get some food veggies  We also went to look for a present for my cousin’s birthday. I had to choose between a doll teddy bear and a soft toy soft teddy bear.. After that we went to the shop kmart  to buy some clothes, I got two new items neck less and a pair of shoes  Nike and gumboots . Because I had been so good, mum took me to the shop to buy an ice block strawberry ice block . Lucky me!

I am learning to use my five times tables to work out other multiplication questions.

               We have been leaning about use five times tables to work out other times tables (like ,2,3,4,6,7,8,9, ).




 

Key Points	Why
You can split a multiplication question up into two or more parts.	8 x 7 can be changed into 8 x 5 plus 8 x 2
